My Client is a Major Civil Engineering Company that has a wide range of experience in the Utilities, Communications, Renewables and Rail Market and has been helping develop and maintain the UK’s Infrastructure since the late 1940’s
Requirement
My client is currently in the need for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based out of their Glasgow office on a Permanent basis, Travel will be required. They are in need of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to implement commercial and procurement management and reporting systems and procedures. Evaluate and manage all contractual risks and support Project Managers to maximise commercial benefits of all responsible contracts. With particular focus on value maximisation, cost control, risk mitigation and contract administration.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have worked for a similar company with Civil Engineering and Rail contracting.

A degree qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor, with at least 5yrs previous experience of utilities and/or civil engineering sectors.
Able to maximise contract benefits for mutual and long term benefit.
Track record of exceeding business targets and KPIs.
Ability to identify and resolve problems at an early stage.
Attention to detail and high degree of personal organisation.
A good negotiator and communicator.
Working and practical understanding NEC 3.

The ideal candidate will reside in the London/ Hertfordshire area.

Salary/ Package

This role has a negotiable salary of 34,000 – 38,000 + car or car allowance + Package Per annum dependant on experience and qualifications.
