2 Senior Project Manager – Exam Systems

A not-for-profit organisation are looking for 2 Senior Project Managers to join them on initial 3 months contracts at their offices in Central London. The roles are to join a project stream within a large transformation project that involves the replacement of their Exam systems. Both positions require experienced Project Managers that have delivered globally distributed projects, ideally in the Education / High Education sector and have managed relationships with vendors and in-house delivery teams.

Role 1
The EQCS project forms part of the GNOME programme and will deliver a system to support Incident management and audits for the IELTS Exams business. The project is in an advanced stage, but has experienced slippage and needs careful management through to completion and closedown, expected to be in Q1 of FY16/17. After this, a new project will be undertaken to deliver additional system support for quality and compliance management for the other Exams businesses

Role 2

The ORS2 project forms part of the GNOME programme and will deliver an enhanced Register and Pay system for the IELTS Exams business. The project is in its initiation stage and it is important that there is a Project Manager in place to ensure that the project start-up is managed effectively (for example, ensuring that the Business Case is prepared and approved, project governance is established, the project scope is agreed and approved and a detailed project plan is produced).

Minimum Requirements

• Professional project management qualification(s), such as APMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall etc.
• Demonstrable experience of leading the delivery of large projects or programme strands across a major part of an organisation and across a significant geographical area.
• This should include procuring and managing third party supplier and partner arrangements (on a case-by-case basis).
• Demonstrates the ability to plan, structure and manage the ‘hard scope’ of a programme that delivers tangible outputs (eg documents, systems, assets).
