Senior Network Engineer with experience on Cisco UCS and Network Products

Role Activities

Provide technical leadership of highly complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity
Provide informal knowledge training on technical topics or related deliverables

Technical Skills Required

Demonstrable experience of Cisco (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IPS), including network design, configuration, and troubleshooting BGP, OSPF, EIGRP LAN, WAN Network Security – ASA and Check Point Firewalls
Network, implementation and support
Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills
Operations Management and/or Project delivery experience
Operation and configuration of Cisco’s Datacenter and network devices (eg Nexus Platform)
Experience working with or configuring Storage Area Networks, (EMC, NetApp)
Good knowledge of UCS Server technologies, Blade and rack Servers
Able to demonstrate experience working with large complex projects

Non Technical Skills Required

Strong customer facing sales and architectural skills
Core expertise to include design concepts, IT analysis/analytical thinking, innovation management, enterprise perspective and process knowledge
High level, out of the box thinking, analytical reasoning, and creative problem solving skills
Ability to shift from high level thinking to realistic and pragmatic execution is essential
Solid understanding of the end to end IT process, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations;
Excellent written and verbal communications skills: ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approach to engineers, executives, and Cisco customers

Education and Experience Level Required

Requires degree or equivalent plus 10+ years of related experience in IT/Comms industry
CCIE DC/Routing and Switching/SP certification preferred
