Salary: £66,000 – £72,000 per year

We are currently looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Marketing Manager to lead our busy in-house U.K. marketing and product management team and continue to build upon our rapid growth across the U.K. and Europe.

The successful candidate will sit on the Senior Management Team, taking responsibility for the formulation and execution of the marketing strategy for the business in order to drive the company into a new era of business growth. This role will be based at the offices in Oxfordshire.

Responsibilities

Leading a team of four and working in conjunction with counterparts in the U.S, Germany and Scandinavia, the Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of both marketing strategy and tactical plans across B2B and B2C channels. Previous experience in budget management, coordination of product launches, and a broad understanding of the extended marketing mix are essential for success. You will have a proven track record of delivering tangible and measurable results and be able to participate in the formation of commercial strategic planning.

Main duties include:

  • Formulating and driving marketing strategy
  • Coordination of marketing research focused on industry trends, customers, competitors, threats, opportunities, and innovations
  • Oversight, tracking and reporting of all approved marketing plan metrics, including marketing-budget planning and on-time execution
  • Develop market segmentation and targeting strategies
  • Manage the continuous and accurate update of consistent branding across all marketing communications, product marketing and materials, trade shows, customer communications, all company internet platforms and locations
  • Campaign design and management to achieve strategic objectives
  • Budget development and management
  • Manage inbound marketing system, including campaign development and data analysis
  • Leadership of the U.K. marketing team
  • Coordinating cross-company events and projects
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) strategies
  • Development of channel communication

Skills, qualifications and competence level:

The ideal candidate will be degree educated and hold a CIM or equivalent marketing qualification (or be working towards one). Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive, creative outlook are all essential. Some international travel will be required for this role.

  • Experienced managing a marketing team
  • Experienced in a strategic role in implementing and managing budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Copywriting and copyediting experience
  • Proficient Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Expert knowledge of the latest in digital/social media technology/channels and how to best leverage them for marketing programs as part of an overall social business marketing and selling strategy
  • Experience with SalesForce or a similar CRM and its marketing utility
  • Experience within the manufacturing sector
