The company is a FTSE 100 global precious metals company based in Royston.

We currently have a vacancy for a Sales and Marketing Manager within the Nitro Technologies area of the precious metals business. We welcome applicants who have a proven track record of sales growth and business development in a technical environment with a degree or equivalent, preferably in a science based discipline.

This is an exciting opportunity in a growing business where you will be responsible for creating and implementing a sales and marketing strategy that will deliver market share and revenue growth both in the immediate term with existing products and also in the longer term as we bring our new technology to market. You will directly manage a team of 9 internal and external Sales staff as well as giving leadership and direction to several agents and local Sales representatives located globally.

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, you will be responsible for:

identifying prospective new business opportunities that will deliver sustained revenue and profit growth;
creating and delivering innovative business development plans and commercial propositions for each new opportunity;
assessing and using market and competitor intelligence in the creation and refinement of business development plans;
preparing and negotiating creative business tenders to achieve the best possible pricing and terms;
creating strong, collaborative relationships with customers and colleagues;
leading the development and implementation of a marketing strategy;
creating and delivering business plans for future new products and services;
providing strong leadership and commercial experience to further develop the Sales team.In this high profile role you will have extensive customer contact and will be expected to travel to visit customers on a regular basis. You will have close links with the Operations and R&D teams as well as collaborating with colleagues in other divisions.
