Leicester, Leicestershire
My client, based in Leicester, design and manufacture a range of complex electronic products that are sold all over the work.
Due to expansion they currently require a Senior IT Systems Administrator – Linux to join their team in Leicester.
The successful candidate must have excellent knowledge of Linux because all of their systems currently run on this. They have a small Windows environment.
The ideal candidate will have some experience of working for a high tech organisation. They are investing very heavily in R&D at the moment and need the Senior IT Systems Administrator – Linux to help build the correct IT Infrastructure to support the changes that will happen in R&D.
This role involves recommending, installing, maintaining, supporting and setting computing policies on the companies servers and desktop computing machines, as well as administering tools and applications on these environments. The role reports to the Director of Engineering.
If you don’t have that experience you must have supported a complex IT system that was constantly changing to support the needs of the business in a mission critical fashion. They don’t want people who have spent large portions of their time just supporting a static IT Infrastructure.
