Senior Finance Officer

Salary: £31,200 – £36,000 per year

This well-known leading education provider are looking for a part time Senior Finance Officer to join their team. You must have previously worked in the education industry to be considered for this role.

Senior Finance Officer – About The Role

In this role you will be working within a team of 3 and will be reporting into the Director of Finance. This is a part time, permanent position where you will be required to work 27-30 hours a week and there will be some flexibility on remote working. Your key responsibilities will be:

* Managing the day-to-day operation of the school’s financial procedures.

* Support the Finance Manager in monitoring the annually allocated budget and the monthly cashflow.

* Produce a monthly trial balance and reconciliation whilst assisting with the monthly financial reporting.

* Assisting with the preparation & production of the monthly management accounts.

* Monitoring departmental budgets and producing regular reports for managers.

* Oversee the collection and recording of all invoices received and banking arrangements.

* Overseeing the administration for purchasing, invoicing and payment arrangements.

* Prepare regular financial accounting reports for the Director of Finance.

* Ensure all BACS payments are correctly authorised.

The successful Senior Finance Officer will have:

* Previous experience in a similar position

* Experience in working within education

* Strong Excel & accounting systems skills

* Ability to communicate at all levels
