Head of Finance

Salary: £84,000 – £108,000 per year

Hanson Lawrie is currently looking to recruit a qualified Head of Finance for a prestigious educational establishment, to take ownership of the finance and procurement function and team.

As Head of Finance, you will have responsibility for ensuring the organisations statutory accounting processes, controls, and records are managed in accordance with professional standards and ensure compliance with legislation while being responsive to the needs of organisation supporting future growth and development.

We require a professional and committed ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant with significant experience of developing and implementing financial and procurement management systems.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in financial management and be able to demonstrate significant experience in the production of annual budgets, monthly management accounts, and production of various financial reports as well as year-end statutory accounts.

To be a successful in this role you will have the following skills:

* Financial qualification ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA

* Strong analytical skills able to analyse and interpret significant amounts of data to then advise on performance and strategy

* Experience using MIS, ISAMs, IFINANCE or UKBA systems

* A proven track record when it comes to leading and developing a team.

As Head of Finance, it would be desirable to have experience working in a similar educational environment or experience of Public Sector finance.
