About the role
We are recruiting a Senior Finance Analyst to join us at Wolseley UK supporting our infrastructure business. This is a great opportunity to be part of team where you will manage the production of timely and accurate information to the business through first class provision, analysis and interpretation of financial information, driving improvement in processes and systems wherever possible. We can offer study support alongside this role so we are looking for someone with an interest in Finance or Accounting looking to develop their career.
You will be responsible for
* Provide support in partnering the Infrastructure team to drive business improvement by providing insightful, clearly presented analysis and suggest solutions that drive decisions and actions. Looking to control costs by providing detailed analysis and progress to date verses commitments
* To assist in the development of analytical and reporting models and tools
* To prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required by the business, including development of KPI’s for the business
* Tailor information to the audience so that analysis immediately highlights the “so what next”
* Identify internal best practice and monitor external best practice / data to provide excellent analysis and relevant benchmarking for performance
* Support and collaborate with other parts of the UK Finance Team to ensure a “one team approach” operates effectively
* To assist in the review and preparation of management information
* Input to the continual improvement of the Infrastructure operation in line with the business strategy
About you
* A good understanding of data, a strong analyst with an interest in Finance
* AAT Qualified is advantageous, an interest in wanting to study ACCA or CIMA
* Commercially minded, ambitious, attention to detail, organised
* Process driven, strong excel skills, experience of working in a complex B2B company is ideal
* Experience of analysing and identifying trends and patterns within business data
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across multiple functions
