Location: Near Watford, Herts.
Salary: £54,000 – £62,400 + car allowance, bonus + excellent benefits
The role
The successful candidate will:
Your role will be to manage the strategic development of economic and retail data; delivering high quality insight and future forecasting,
You will manage the proprietary models and methodologies as well as support the evolution of the data proposition on the websites; This includes adding value to the data, bringing insights to life, identifying trends and delivering practical implications and modelling.
Knowledge, skills and experience
Background
* You’ll need a strong numerical and statistical background within a retailer, manufacturer, consultancy or industry body
* Experience in building macro-economic models
* Experience of leading project teams
* Able to successfully multi task
You will need to have an awareness of how the food and grocery industry works, in particular the commercial interactions between retailer and suppliers
Technical skills
* Educated to degree level in Economics
* Experience in developing forecasting approaches
* Advanced Excel skills
* Good experience with R or Python and SQL
* Experience with Business Intelligence platforms such as Tableau & Microsoft Power BI to manipulate data sets
* Project management skills, able to own an idea from concept to delivery
