We have a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator to join our high profile client in South London. Our client has a track record of building outstanding developments ranging from apartment blocks to the regeneration of brown filed sites into desired family homes.

As an Estimator you will be responsible for working alongside other members of the Pre-Construction team on contracting opportunities ranging from £5m to £50m, and land appraisal opportunities to deliver the company’s development programme / objectives.

The majority of projects are residential, some mixed use RC Frame and others typical traditional build family homes. They have a very solid order book and plenty of projects in the pipeline or already on site.

You will preferably have house building / residential experience and working knowledge of estimating software. The company are focused on getting a candidate that can fit within the companies estimating team. They are looking for a dynamic and proactive individual who is willing to role their sleaves up and get involved. They are willing to look at experienced estimators looking to take the step up to senior level or established senior level professionals that want to join a company delivering outstanding developments throughout London and the home counties.

ROLE:

• Secure contracting opportunities on housing and specialist multi-storey / retirement schemes ranging from £5m to £50m.
• Initial appraisal of the tender opportunity for accuracy and completeness.
• Development of a measurement and pricing strategy.
• Attending site visits with pre-construction team members.
• Pre-enquiry communication with key supply chain partners.
• Submission of lump sum and BOQ supply chain enquiries utilising estimating software.
• Internal take off and measurement utilising Bluebeam software.
• Internal BOQ production utilising estimating software.
• Arranging key supply chain tender review meetings.
• Maintain working relationships with our local and national supply chains.
• Coordinating pricing in conjunction with the Planner.
• Undertaking subcontractor and material supplier quotation analysis, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
• Attendance at Client / Stakeholder meetings as required.
• Preparing documentation for handover meetings to production and commercial teams.

CANDIDATE:

• A minimum of 4-5 years experience as an estimator looking to take the step up to senior level or an established senior level professional wanting a hands on role within a dynamic developer
• Residential experience is preferred but the company are willing to look at candidates with a main contractor background
• Excellent IT skills with experience of working on estimating software
• Must have strong communication skills with a can do attitude
