Salary: £48,000 – £50,400 per year

My client, a software house within a 4000 employer parent group, are leading providers of a total solution education software product suite, and now seeking a Senior Developer to add to their expanding team.

You will take the lead as a hands on senior developer, supporting the existing base through bug fix and performance resolution and also developing new capabilities including but not exclusive to software enhancements, new modules and devices, and third party integrations where this is deemed either strategically or financially beneficial to the business. You will be required to work on full product life cycle identifying, implementing and using appropriate methodologies and systems and work alongside product management and professional services teams in the UK.

Technical Requirements

– Minimum 5 years as software developer with at least 2 years at senior level.
– Strong experience in product/application development using.NET (3.5+)
– Good understanding of OOP
– C#, ASP.NET, Web Services
– Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008
– MVC

Experience with any of the following will also be beneficial;

– Dependency Injection(Unity) / Object Builder Framework
– OOA, UML, Design Patterns (GoF, Microsoft Patterns & Practices)
– Enterprise system requirements (Scalability, Resilience, Reliability, etc.)
– Ajax
– Silverlight
– Transact-SQL
– SOA.
– TFS
– XML and XSL
– WPF, WF, WCF, LINQ: Web Services Security and Transaction support (Framework 3.5+)

Personally, you’ll be self-motivated and able to act on your own initiative, a team player who has the ability to exercise independent, sound judgement and decision making; and not afraid of conflict.

You’ll have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present clearly through a high standard of written and verbal communication and show an ambition to drive the company forward into new areas.
