Our client are a leading housing association providing affordable housing across the UK.
Due to an increased workload, they are seeking a Senior Building Safety Inspector to ensure their High-Risk Buildings are safe for residents at all times. You will be responsible for the day-to-day inspection and management of fire and structural safety, other compliance risks, business continuity, and customer engagement for high-risk property portfolios.
Duties to include:
Responsible to Building Safety Managers
Delivering a programme of inspections
Developing a sound understanding of the construction, maintenance, fire strategies, compliance obligations and customers in those high-risk properties
Engage with customers in the safe management of their buildings as well as with the new Regulator, local authorities and Fire and Rescue Services
We’re looking for individuals who have a sound understanding of risk and property management with experience of delivering effective building safety inspections and collating / quality assuring building safety information. You will have had training and possess or be working towards relevant fire safety, property compliance and health and safety qualifications.
We are looking for applicants with knowledge and experience of fire, building and structural safety related to Social Housing as well as related guidance, statutory regulations (i.e. Fire Safety Bill, Hackitt Review, and Government White Paper for Social Housing Building Safety Bill etc.), British Standards and sector best practice.
