Senior Accounts Payable Clerk – About the Role

In this role you will be working within an Accounts Payable team of 14 and will be responsible for supporting the AP team leaders with the daily running of the department. You will be required to train new staff and assist with the regular improvement of the internal systems. This role would be a great opportunity for someone who has aspirations to become an Accounts Payable Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Checking invoices uploaded and approved by senior staff on invoicing system.
• Investigating queries and liaising with the relevant contacts in order to resolve issues.
• Processing daily and weekly payment runs, posting exchange rate differences as required to ensure the entries can be reconciled.
• Checking and posting invoices and raising any issues with the AP Team Leader.
• Taking a proactive approach when supporting the team and looking into where processes can be improved.
• Training new staff and supporting current team.

The successful Senior Accounts Payable Clerk will have

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable position
• Experience within a professional services organisation would be desirable
• Good Excel skills
• Ability to communicate at all levels
