Senior Accounts Payable Clerk

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working in partnership with a reputable company based in the West Yorkshire area who are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Purchase Ledger professional to join their friendly & very-busy finance department on an ongoing temporary basis.

The successful candidate will manage a specific ledger, and deal with all complex queries, escalations, with support from the Purchase Ledger team and Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities will include:-

– Maintain purchase ledger database
– Provide a core service of accurate and efficient invoice and payment processing
– Ensure all supplier invoices are processed in accordance with described processes and ensure that invoices are paid to agreed terms
– Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders re payments, queries etc
– Reconciling supplier statements

Person Specification:

– Extensive experience with purchase ledger
– Strong excel capability, along with MS office products
– The ability to work to deadlines
– Knowledge of SAP would be ideal but not essential as full training will be provided
