Part-time, Term time only, 20hrs per week

Fixed term: 18th April to 20th May 2016 (5 weeks)

Hours of work:

2 x 11am to 2pm plus 2 evenings 5pm – 7.30pm

2 x 2pm – 5pm plus 2 evenings 5pm – 7.30pm

Our client is seeking to appoint 4 roving support assistants to join an established team. The Roving Support Assistant Team provide mobile customer facing first line enquiry support within the Library. The Team support the Ask Us! Enquiry Service seeking out customers to help, answering Library and IT queries picked up from anywhere in the building, referring more complex queries to professional staff where necessary. The role also involves providing basic support for all equipment and IT facilities and actively ensuring the Library remains an effective environment for study. As such you should be confident in the use of physical and electronic Library resources as well as common University IT packages and mobile technologies.

This pro-active role will require you to use your experience and knowledge of the University Library and IT Systems, together with good communication and interpersonal skills, in order to deliver excellent levels of advice, solutions, and guidance to all of our customers.
