Norwich City Community Sports Foundation (CSF) is the official charity partner of Norwich City Football Club and helps over 20,000 people every year achieve their goals through sport, supporting some of the most disadvantaged, disabled and talented people across Norfolk.
CSF is Norfolk’s biggest sporting provider with a proven track record of employing, training and developing enthusiastic coaches and they are looking for a NCS (National Citizen Service) Team Leader to join their team.
Job Role Outline:
The NCS Team Leader will support in allowing young people to complete the National Citizen Service programme over the summer period. This role involves 2 residential weeks per ‘wave’ and you need to be available to work during one of the following periods:
Wave 1: 29th June – 24th July
Wave 2: 6th July – 31st July
Wave 3: 20th July – 14th August
Wave 4: 27th July – 21st August
Aim of the role:
To represent the Foundation by engaging and managing young people over the stages of the NCS programme.
Objectives of the role:
– To challenge young people to participate in all activities outside of their normal comfort zone.
– To ensure young people have clear boundaries and expectations over the programme.
– To ensure completion of all elements of the NCS programme by allocated teams.
Responsibilities of the role:
– Identify key young people who could act as NCS ambassadors.
– Deliver a successful NCS programme across all residential and Social Action Plan Stages.
– Ensure all delivery falls in line with CSF’s Health and Safety and Safeguarding expectations.
– Attend the relevant NCS graduation event for allocated wave.
– Identify the progression routes chosen by NCS graduates to enable successful tracking, leading to positive case studies and achievement.
– Produce detailed case studies of individuals on whom NCS has had beyond expected impact.
– Adhere to all policies and procedures including safeguarding, health and safety, behaviour management, equality and diversity, data protection and quality assurance and follow all policies and procedures within the staff handbook.
– To follow and work by all Foundation procedures.
– To maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
– To report to the Line Manager and attend CSF staff meetings when requested.
– To support the Foundation in other areas, activities and departments as and when required.
– Any other duties deemed necessary by the charity Director/Line Manager.

– Able to support young people in achieving their goals.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
– Attention to detail.
– Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings.
– A drive to help people achieve their goals through sport.
Desirable skills & attributes required:
– Experience of working in residential visit environments.
– Experience of working in outdoor education and/or outdoor activities.
– First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.
– Full UK Driving Licence.
– Enhanced CRB/DBS Disclosure.
