Asset Management Researcher
Citywire is currently looking for a researcher to join our Asset Management Editorial team. This role will involve you creating content that will engage and expand Citywire’s asset management industry audience. Your research will be used in a regular newsletter called Amplify and editorial white papers. You will also collaborate with Citywire’s asset management research unit on building in-house data resources for editorial and commercial use.

Main Responsibilities:
As Asset Management Researcher you will be involved in:
– Supporting the formation of a data resource that will support the asset management editorial’s aims and work closely with team members to achieve this long-term goal.
– Perform and support short-medium term research projects for the Amplify newsletter.
– Contribute towards survey work needed to support either the data project or newsletter requirements.
– Assist the Asset Management Editor in the generation and development of content ideas for newsletters, reports, or any other editorial projects.
– Collaborate with colleagues in other Citywire teams to further the progress of data projects or content for newsletters and reports.
-Participate in the writing up of content such as interviews, summaries, and news stories.
– Contact press officers and other industry contacts to facilitate articles, such as asking for interviews, data checking, or documentation.
Job-specific skills / technical skills/requirements
– Ability to interpret and manage large amounts of data
– Ability to solve data and other problems with lateral thinking and a logical approach to tasks and challenges.
– Excellent skills with analysis, collaboration, and visualisation of data tools such as Excel, GSheets, Data Studios etc.
– Experience with Morningstar, or any other data provider, would be great but not necessary.
– Ability to work autonomously and comfortable working from home 2-3 days per week.
– Resourceful and comfortable using initiative to overcome obstacles.
– Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues of all levels.
– Comfortable reaching out and building relationships with external contacts such as fund managers, PRs, and Senior Managers.
