RH Recruiting are currently working in partnership with our client to recruit a Senior R&D Engineer based in Worksop.
Summary:
The Senior R&D Engineer is a key engineering role providing technical expertise and development of a new product. The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of electrics and small motors with the ability to design a brand new product in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with R&D programmes to develop and complete a new project.
Identify and present justification for new research opportunities.
Develop and manage relationships with external suppliers and universities.
Working closely with laboratory and production staff within the organisation.
Support the Technology Manager to plan and manage departmental resources, workload and budgets.Technical Knowledge and Ability:
Vast knowledge of motors and motor-control is essential
An excellent knowledge of electronics and electro-motors is essential
Good knowledge and experince working with motors, electronics and magnets
Knowledge and experience within the medical industry would be beneficial
Educated to degree level or other significant higher educationPersonal Qualities:
Able to liaise effectively at all levels.
Good verbal and written communicator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Able to achieve results quickly and work with minimal supervision.
