Salary: £66,000 – £72,000 per year

Data Scientist – Remote working, £55-60K + Bens. You must have a background as a Data Scientist with good experience of R/Python and SQL. Any experience of business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) and cloud (Azure, AWS, Oracle) would be a plus.

The role of the Data Scientist is to help discover insights hidden in the vast amounts of data, helping them to make smarter decisions. You will produce new and creative analytic solutions by applying data mining techniques, conducting statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems. You will initially focus on the creation of statistical models to be used in the functionality of the company’s solutions.

Responsibilities;

Collaborate with the Product team to collectively develop specific functionality Work end-to-end in the development of advanced data analyses and models, by gathering and interpreting the requirements, extracting and processing the data, conducting the analyses and modelling, and assisting in the development of the final solution

Research, develop, implement, and validate statistical learning models for data analysis

Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis

Assist with quality assurance processes through the development and application of a quantitative approach

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both when capturing the problem and when presenting results

Successfully work within the Data Science team to share best practices, expertise, knowledge, and enthusiasm

Work with other areas in the company to collectively create meaningful data visualisations

Your background;

Advanced degree in data science, applied statistics, machine learning, mathematics or relevant field

professional experience working on a Data Science or related discipline team

Previous experience with applied statistics and quantative modelling (e.g. regression models, time series forecasting, statistical tests, machine learning models)

Independent proficiency in the data science process including data cleansing, data validation, data modelling, model evaluation, visualization of insights, and a strong sense of identifying the right questions to ask of the data

Passionate about empirical research and answering hard questions with data

Familiarity with relationship databases and SQL

Previous experience and proficiency using R/Python

Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner

Proactive and problem-solving mindset working indepedently to deliver value

Familarity with business intelligence tools (e.g/ Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) and cloud computing (e.g. AWS, Azure, Oracle)

This Data Scientist role is remote working for a company based in West London and pays c£55-60K + bens.
