Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Complete and/or schedule calibrations and qualifications in a safe, timely, and accurate
manner.
Responsible for proper handling and maintenance of the companies equipment, including testing and standards equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair and perform PMs on HPLC and GC systems.
Complete documentation associated with laboratory functions in line with GMP.
Ensures all laboratory equipment is compliant.
Preparation and review of GMP related documentation (validation protocols and reports, IOQ and PQ protocols and reports, SOPs).
Installation and qualification of new laboratory equipment.
Report and document any non-conformances to management.
Conduct all work in, and maintain, the laboratory in a clean, safe and compliant condition.
Issue regular progress updates to management and present appropriate information.
Perform and assist in additional duties as directed by the management.
Train junior members of staff in HPLC and GC operation and maintenance.
Accountabilities:
Responsible for planning and prioritisation of own work.
Adherence to a set calibration plan (PEMAC), whilst not incurring additional costs or delays.
Responsible for compliance and maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
Responsible for ensuring that all working areas and surrounding areas are compliant to
GLP, GMP, and are well kept and maintained.
Responsible for ensuring that any breaches in H&S, GMP and any other company rules are reported immediately to management.
Skills, Experience and Education Required:
Bachelors degree in a scientific related field, preferably with analytical / process focus
Basic understanding and familiarity with centrifuges, balances, refrigerators and freezers, stability chambers, chromatography (HPLC and GC), spectrophotometers, and other general laboratory equipment.
Understanding of calibration concepts and requirements including accuracy testing
requirements.
Effective communication and problem solving skills.
Thorough understanding and troubleshooting capability with HPLC and GC.
Business focussed, inclusive of behaviour and attitude.
