Senior Data Scientist Remote (UK or EU) This is a rare opportunity to join a newly formed team building applied Generative AI products that sit at the heart of a company's future data and insights strategy. You will play a senior, hands-on role shaping how synthetic data and LLMs are used in real-world, commercial environments, with high autonomy and clear ownership from day one. The Role Design, build, and deploy Generative AI and LLM-based solutions for synthetic data generation and data augmentation Develop and validate statistical and machine learning methodologies to ensure data quality, reliability, and trust Work closely with Product and Engineering to take models from experimentation through to production Build systems that enhance real-world data rather than replace it, including open-text and structured outputs Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and external clients Operate end to end across problem definition, modelling, validation, and delivery Your

Skills and

Experience Strong commercial

experience applying Generative AI and Large Language Models in production environments Deep knowledge of NLP, text generation, and modern machine learning techniques Excellent grounding in statistics, experimental design, and model validation Expert Python

skills within a data science or machine learning stack, plus strong SQL

Experience working with large, complex datasets and collaborating with engineering teams Confidence explaining methodology, limitations, and impact to a broad range of stakeholders Exposure to synthetic data, prompt engineering, RAG, or cloud-based data platforms is beneficial but not essential
