Salary: £26,000 – £39,780 per year

Are you looking for a fresh challenge where you will need to be on top of your chef game? Can you walk into a new kitchen and wow other chefs & managers alike? Are you flexible with your work life and want a bit more excitement?

Stafffinders are looking for Temporary & Relief Chefs across Scotland. We have a number of fantastic clients in various locations, from busy Glasgow city centre restaurants to 5 star hotels in the Highlands & Islands. We can offer great rates of pay, from £26,000 – £39,780 per year to £26,000 – £39,780 per year, depending on experience, position & location.

Relief work is not just a case of showing up and getting the job done, it’s much more than that. You need to be understanding of what the client is looking for and be capable of stepping up and delivering. The better you do, the better your reputation becomes and the more likely you are to gain work. You have to be on point, every shift, day in, day out.

There are busy times & quiet times and we are expecting to have a busy season, with a good variation of assignments. You will need to be competent in each section of the kitchen, Pastry knowledge is always an advantage, but not always required. For some locations, driving is an advantage, but again is not always required. This is a great way to expand your knowledge, increase your flexibility and learn more whilst travelling to some incredible places. Accommodation is often provided free of charge in places where it is required.

We also have a great demand for PVG registered chefs. This is a great way of supplementing your income and increasing your skill set. This involves assignments in places like care homes and nurseries where trust and reliability is held in high regard, along with being able to adapt to various dietary requirements.

If you think you have what it takes to be a Relief Chef, then. Please send a current copy of your CV for consideration. You will also need to be able to provide proof of ID & great references from former employers. For Relief & Temporary work, you must be able to attend an interview at one of our offices in Paisley or Edinburgh.
