I am recruiting for Registered Manager for a 62 bedded Nursing home in the beautiful setting of Christchurch in Dorset. The home provides high quality nursing, dementia, residential and respite care and a refurbishment project has added 16 luxury suites with extra lounge and dining room space and a new hairdressing salon.

In this role you will:

• Manage the home, ensuring that all care provided is of a high standard
• Act as a role model to staff, providing mentorship and support where needed
• Promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home
• Maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of colleagues, internal as well as external professionals, families and visitors
• Create strong links with the local community
• Be ambitious with a desire to develop and progress the Home from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’

For this fabulous role you must have:

• Experience in a similar role
• An RGN or RMN qualification with active NMC pin
• The ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide an excellent service of person-centred care.
• A good working knowledge of CQC standards
• A proven track record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful, good or outstanding rated care home
• Proven competent management and leadership skills in order to make the Home the best place to work for local people
