Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year
Leading manufacturer of Flavour and Fragrance chemicals seeks an experienced Quality Manager at their site in Northamptonshire. This is a dual role covering a small team in QC and QA management for the company. The role reports to the General Manager.
Key duties:
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to the QC Analytical team.
- Maintain and improve the ISO9001, ISO22000 and HACCP systems
- Be the prime contact and guide for all site audits
- Provide technical guidance to our customers on our products and manage any specification queries
Quality Manager skills & requirements:
- Chemistry degree preferred with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of analytical chemistry GC/GCMS/HPLC in an industrial environment
- Good understanding of laboratory management systems i.e. COSHH, SDS databases, document control etc.
- Previous experience of working in a food grade facility under HACCP protocols
- Previous experience of organoleptic testing desirable
- Previous management or supervisory experience required
- Good leadership and interpersonal skills
- Thorough understanding of ISO requirements
- Ability to work as part of a small management team
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
- Strong IT skills
The company offers 25 days holiday (plus all UK bank holidays). A stakeholder pension scheme, to which the company contributes, is also provided. An annual company-wide bonus scheme is in operation. 37.5 hours/week with an early finish on a Friday. Free parking is provided.
The salary being offered is circa £48,000 – £60,000depending on experience.
