Salary: £32,400 – £40,500 per year
Our client based in Norfolk who produces leading food brands are looking to appoint a Quality Food & Safety Technologist to take the lead at this multi site product plant within the Quality food & safety function.
Reporting to the Quality and Food Safety Manager, this Quality Food & Safety Technologist role is all about ensuring a robust Quality Management programme, in addition to ensuring compliance of the HACCP and GMP/Allergen programmes through the design of supporting system, thorough risk-assessments, training, validation and auditing. So, working with associates across the manufacturing facility, you’ll be driving and delivering continuous improvement initiatives for all of the products.
Responsibilities include:
Quality Incident Management and Investigation
Risk Assessments and Change Management
Special projects and troubleshooting.
The ideal person for this role will have the following background / skills:
Qualified at least to a degree level in food science or a food related subject.,
A solid track record in leading and delivering continuous improvement projects, which has involved designing and implementing Quality systems, including risk-assessments, validation and verification steps.
Must posses knowledge of lean tools such as PDCA, DMAIC and/or Six Sigma
strong functional/technical skills around microbiology and food technology/science
the flexibility to travel.
