Quality Control Inspector

Salary: £30,000 – £42,000 per year

My client are a privately owned and fast growing manufacturing firm based in Wisbech.

As part of a wider group, with a site in the midlands and one in the fens, they are operating within a heavily regulated and time critical market providing rapid manufacturing services to a variety of clients across the UK. 

Working as part of the site Quality Team, your role will be ensure inspection standards are met and maintained for products destined for businesses in the medical, automotive and aerospace sectors. In your role, you will be responsible for the inspection and approval of components and assemblies using a range of metrology equipment available onsite. 

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

– Inspecting parts to internal and industry specific regulatory standards

– Performing inspections on random samples and if a defect part is identified, raising the corrective and preventative actions 

– Reporting compliance of products against both customer specification and also the required product standards

– Recording of quality issues providing up to date documents for Quality Engineers

Ideally you will have 2-5 years experience in a previous role, and be able to demonstrate sound working knowledge of GD&T, Metrology, Schematics and Materials specifications. The ability to confidently use hand measuring tools (CMM, Vernier’s, micrometres) is essential, and an exposure to digital measuring devices (scanners) is preferred. Strong reporting and communications skills are a must.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary on offer for the successful candidate
