Quality Engineer – CNC

Salary £36,000 – £38,400Per Annum

Quality Engineer:

This is a new and exciting position within the company and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to step
up to quality manager on meeting expected targets. Engineering is an old school bespoke engineering
company managed with a very hands on approach to things. With a successful 40 years of business behind us we
have had no need for certification such as ISO 9001, however, with more and more companies demanding it we have
decided to put the motions in place to gain accreditation.
Initially the position will be multi-role with the successful candidate responsible for all aspects of quality within the
company including hands on inspection, management of the calibration system and preparation for ISO 9001
accreditation.

The ideal candidate would possess some or all of the attributes below:

• A clear understanding of the ISO 9001 requirements and practices.
• Program and operate CNC co-ordinate measuring machines.
• Calibration system management.
• Generate procedures and work instructions.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of root cause and corrective actions etc.
• Fluent in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Customer facing.
• Quality system / manual management and maintenance.
• Able to work under own initiative with little supervision.
