Quality Assurance Engineer – Aerospace

Are you an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer within the Aerospace or Precision Engineering Manufacturing environment. A prestigious manufacturing company within the engineering field of Aerospace Engineering is seeking a strong and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. Skills you have previously attained within the role as a Quality Assurance Engineer will prove a huge asset to this employer in their drive to innovate and drive forward with some of the most advanced technology within Aerospace Engineering and will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be leading the development, deployment and maintenance of the company’s Quality Integrated Management Systems.

Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Engineer:

* Proven and extensive experience of Quality Engineering to AS9100 within the Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Industry
* Direct working experience of SABRE 2, and Rolls-Royce relating requirements
* Concessions experience
* Work solidly within, and in accordance to the current Business Management System already in structure with the company
* Work as an integral part of a cross functional team to create and manage PFMEA, the control plans and SPC data and also the ability to analyse this for processing
* Technical knowledge in the Aerospace manufacturing Engineering field, with onus on manufacturing engineering
* Lead lean initiatives and demonstrate and engage Six Sigma tools for use within process application
* Provide support and where necessary the skills and knowledge to work with problem solving for high level investigations associated with technical compliance requirements
* Work with the customer to achieve and engage positively to ensure an efficient and effective process through the complete methodology from concept to completion

Educational / Experience requirements of the Quality Assurance Engineer:

* CNC experience 5 axis or 6 axis as a minimum
* CMM and hand metrology experience
* Desirably a HNC or higher in Aeronautical or Manufacturing Engineering or a solid and experienced working history will be a requirement gained from within industry
* PFMEA – Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis – Cause and Effect of Failure
* PPAP – Production Part Approval Process
* Ability to co-ordinate all Auditing processes either by an authorising body or client
* Strong Lean or Six Sigma exposure
* The application of a continuous improvement approach to manufacture
