Quality & Ci Manager

Salary: £66,000 – £72,000 per year

Quality & CI Manager, Scunthorpe, £55,000 – £60,000 + £400pm car allowance for permanent although we would also consider interim.

Arlington moore are working on behalf of a busy company who are looking to appoint a Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager.

The role of Quality Manager / Continuous Improvement Manager will be to be the site representative for all Quality and CI activities, leading and developing the organisation, in conjunction with customer specific requirements and business objectives in a continuous improvement cycle. To apply, train, coach and drive the Quality and CI strategy and tools across all areas of the site.

Key Responsibilities of the Quality & CI Manager

* Management, development, and appraisal of the Quality & CI Department on-site and off-site (for those based at customers’ sites), developing a team structure to support the needs of the business

* Management and coordination of day-to-day quality concerns at the customer, supplier and on site throughout all areas of supply and production

* Communication and reporting (to Corporate Quality Management UK / Europe

* Development and implementation of the site Quality Management System

* Coordinating all site audits

* Management and development of customer relations

* Regularly reviewing customer quality portals to establish whether the Quality scores affecting the site are accurate and whether they can be challenged

* Promoting and driving problem solving within the site, utilising proven methodologies to implement, verify and validate permanent solutions to known concerns and drive improvement with new products through lessons learnt

* Reporting Quality and CI related KPI’s.

* Applying, training, and coaching Six Sigma strategies and tools across all areas of the site. Driving the Lean Methodology and culture of CI into the business

* Coordination of CI activities (Kaizen / Lean Manufacturing

* Developing cost savings plans in plant through the application of practical solutions and CI / Lean tools to reduce and eliminate waste

* Defining and implementing a robust training plan for CI

* Working with the Plant Team to identify and develop CI projects and implement CI roadmap savings

* Providing support in the implementation of the CI Strategy.

* Full budgetary responsibility for the Quality & CI budgets

We are looking for a Quality & CI Manager who has proven work history in quality management within a fast-moving manufacturing environment. Engineering and six sigma qualifications are desirable but not essential although a thorough knowledge of continuous improvement is essential.
