Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Bath (1 day per week) / Remote

Salary: To £72,000

Our client is looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager to join their expanding team.

Working in safety critical projects for Aerospace, Defence, Rail and Automotive clients, where your work in Quality Assurance is vital.

The ideal person would have a Quality Assurance background is safety or mission critical systems and applications. You be responsible the quality of all processes, procedures and capabilities in adherence to the Quality Management System and applicable safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Setting the project quality framework within the context of the company Quality Management System and applicable standards.
• Ensuring adherence to the quality framework, plans, and processes through review, audit and other oversight and assurance activities.
• Performing independent reviews.
• Developing and maintaining the project’s Quality Plan.
• Ensuring quality controls are defined and appropriate, including delivery exit criteria.
• Facilitating process improvement. 
• Working collaboratively with the company level Quality Manager.
• Working with Project Safety Engineers to ensure that the quality of deliverables.
• Contributing to the Project’s weekly and monthly reporting cycle on the Quality aspects.
• Working pragmatically with the project leadership to resolve quality, process, procedure or planning issues.

Skills/ Experience

• 5+ years’ experience of working in safety related software development teams in a development or quality role.
• Experience in the aerospace, rail, defence, aviation or automotive industries.
• Knowledge and experience of software quality systems and the V model development lifecycle.
• Quality conscious with a pragmatic appreciation of the quality controls appropriate to the integrity level of the software.
• Methodical approach to work, with good attention to details and strong logic and reasoning skills.
