Job Title: Purchasing Coordinator
Location: Saffron Walden, Essex
Salary: up to £43,200p.a. DOE
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 17:00 (37.5 hours)
Contract Type: Full time, permanent
Sector: Manufacturing & Logistics
Our client based in Saffron Walden, Essex is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
As Purchasing Coordinator your duties will include:
- Working with new and existing suppliers to build strong relationships and ensure the smooth operation of the supply chain
- Placing Purchase Orders with suppliers
- Negotiating prices
- Assisting with planning of materials
- Monitoring and reporting on KPIs
- Improving systems and procedures
- Being a central point of contact for suppliers.
An ideal candidate for the Purchasing Coordinator will have:
- CIPS Level 6, degree or equivialent
- 3 years+ experience in a supply chain role within a manufacturing/assembly company
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- MRP/ERP experience
- with supplier relationship management
