Project Site Engineer

Reporting to Project Engineering Manager

Purpose/Objective Of Role:
To support and lead specific capital projects and improvement initiatives. Examples of projects will range from new and
replacement equipment to developing the use of the MMIS and ensuring we have appropriate planned maintenance
schedules in each production unit

Key Responsibilities:
• Providing facilitation of Departmental Capital Expenditure and Revenue projects using EEM methodology to include
e scoping, team formation, technical specification, tender documentation, contracts control, progress monitoring,
commissioning and review. Ensuring projects satisfy all relevant, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements,
Regulations and best practice.

• Managing and scheduling the work of multi-disciplined craftsmen.

• Supervising contractors in line with the control of contractors policy.

• Provide support on the electrical safety regulations and safety related control functions – carrying out electrical an
d machinery risk assessments and calculating safety categories, performance levels, integrity levels & redundancy.

• Provide day to day mechanical support on technical issues with regards to production equipment.

• Have a good knowledge of industrial mechanical systems (hydraulics / pneumatics / gearbox drives / bearing systems etc.).

• Project tender evaluation.

• Specification and ordering of electrical equipment and components

• Monitoring and maintaining progress of capex projects within the PCMS system.

• Training and development of craftsmen on new and existing equipment.

• Write technical specifications and evaluate tenders for purchase of high cost equipment.
