Project Planner

Salary: £45.6 – £50.36 per hour

JN Technical is recruiting an experienced Project Planner on behalf of a leading UK construction company. 

We are seeking a senior level candidate with the proven ability to oversee the planning operations of large scale, multi million pound NEC projects. Applicants must be proactive, organised methodical with a driven and professional nature. 

While based in the North West, some travel may be required in order to support our clients project delivery.

Project Planner Candidate Profile:

• Substantial experience of Primavera P6 including cost / resource loading
• Experience in structural engineering projects
• A good understanding of commercial and contractual matters.
• An appreciation of BIM / digital construction tools and workflows.
• Thorough experience and understanding of programming techniques.

Project Planner Key Responsbilities:

• Create, maintain and review schedules and plans that align to the overall requirements of the business’ plans
• Collaborate with project delivery teams and external stakeholders (including suppliers, Develop and manage links between schedule and the Cost Estimate, supporting the phasing of the spend profile
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development.
• Manage and monitor processes to integrate scheduling from across all projects and work streams within the programme
• Liaise with key department heads to discuss the status of tasks and milestones in order to maintain the timetable of the plans, in particular with the Programme Management function
• Produce tender plans to support bids.
• Liaise with Planners from different teams; identifying emerging issues
• Ensure the status of the programme is regularly updated to the wider programme team
