Project Manager – Genotyping

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager – Genotyping to join a leading company based in the Hertfordshire area. As the Project Manager – Genotyping you will be the interface between the laboratory and the customer and will take an active part in organisation and processing of the project at all stages from DNA Extraction to data delivery.

As the Project Manager – Genotyping, you will be joining the lab services team where services include extraction and genotyping projects, working with the team to ensure fast paced turnaround times are met. This is a shift base role, on a rotating day shift pattern with Early Shift between 6am and 3pm and Late Shift from 2pm-10pm. There is also a competitive bonus on offer.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Project Manager – Genotyping will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as following:

1. Accurate and timely set up of projects and effective process management of orders within the genotyping team and adhering stringently to quality control checks and providing accurate data analysis.

2. Complete coverage of all aspects of work flow as project progresses through laboratory from extraction to data delivery.

3. Coordination of resources and working effectively with lab team members in order to meet customer deadlines including General laboratory housekeeping and Ad hoc duties to help support the wider laboratory team.

4. Ensuring prompt and honest customer feedback and support is provided via email and telephone

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Project Manager – Genotyping you will be degree qualified in a life sciences area or equivalent, with previous experience in a genotyping laboratory. This should include hands on knowledge of PCR and Genotyping chemistries, with experience in Extraction technologies desirable.
