Project Manager for Interim £2million Project Delivery

Project Manager to join successfully expanding business for a key project over a 6 month delivery period. As such, the role is for an initial 6 months with a view to it going permanent after successful delivery. The project management team of 4 now require an additional project management resource to support the Engineering Manager in key project management deliverables.

The role would suit a degree educated Manager who has been working with project management for 5yrs+. Ideally, coming from a technical engineering background such as aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, nuclear or other precision engineering arena.

The Project Manager will be running a £2million project for the client alongside another project manager and so will need to have a solid background in order to achieve the desired results and hit the ground running from the outset.

Key responsibilities include:

Project definition, planning and delivery of key projects
Taking up the excess work load of existing team – but making the projects your own
Where necessary lead teams and project support engineers
Run a significant project, delivering a key piece of equipment
Supporting existing project leaders, engineers and managers
Project methodology understanding, any examples used should be demonstrated
Excellent support and related documentation of project
Liaising closely with third party EPC contractors and clients where necessaryKey requirements

Ideally a Degree in some professional capacity (although experience counts!)
Any Project management qualifications e.g. Prince2, APM
Minimum 5yrs commercial experience
Thorough engineering background, strong technical knowledge in mechanical and / or electrical /electronic engineering
Superb communication skills
