Project Engineer – Piping Fabrication

Major piping fabrication company has an immediate requirement for a projects engineer. The ideal candidates should be qualified to HNC level or above and had experience in a similar role where they have had exposure to H&V pipework and/or similar. The successful applicant will be involved with customer projects from the initial planning phase, considering all aspects of design, supply and installation.

Your duties will include:

Dealing with complex requests that require problem solving and extensive knowledge of products and processes associated with the Fabrication operation to prepare tenders from general arrangement drawings.

Working in partnership with the CAD Engineer to prepare detailed spool drawings and piping isometrics for customer approval.

Preparing cutting lists.

Working closely with all other engineers and Factory supervisor to ensure projects are fully expedited, on time and on budget.

Ordering materials and monitoring supplier costs.

Collating and producing Test Pack data i.e. Weld Maps, Material certifications and Welder Qualifications.
