Production Team Leader

Salary: £30,000 – £32,400 per year

Production Team Leader, Kettering, 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm 5 days in 7, £25K – £27K.

Our client is a phenomenally successful production company who on top of years of success, continue to grow and have ambitious plans for increased business over the next 3 years and beyond.

Due to further growth, they are looking to appoint a Production Team Leader.

Reporting to the Production Controller the Production Team Leader will be responsible for managing production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets, and in accordance with QA and safety standards.

Responsibilities of the Production Team Leader

• To effectively motivate a team of people to meet production targets
• Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI)
• To effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis
• To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate
• To ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external
• To ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to
• attend Line Leader meetings
• To assist in the training and development of new starters
• To act as a role model for best practice
• Monitor, control and minimise waste
• Play an active part in continuous improvement

Experience required for the role of Production Team Leader

We are particularly interested in individuals who have worked in a supervisory or team leader capacity ideally in a production or manufacturing environment with adherence to KPI’s. You maybe working as a Stand-in Production Team leader looking for your next move or you maybe working as a Production Supervisor just looking for a growing company.

This role would suit someone ambitious as the company is on an incredible journey of growth and would suit someone who has a keen eye for improvements and a good grasp of exceeding KPIs and reaching targets.
