Assay Development Team Leader

Our client is an international molecular diagnostics company which develops and manufactures accurate genetic products / services and who works in partnership with global leaders in DNA technology to progress diagnostic science. They now have an exciting opportunity for an Assay Development Team Leader to join their organisation.

Key responsibilities include:-

* Leading teams in assay design and development, including system integration, of in vitro diagnostic products and services.

* Providing scientific expertise, people and technical leadership.

* Ensuring team, people and skill development along with resource planning is effective and aligned with priorities set out by R&D management.

* Shaping of Product Development strategy, particularly around Assay Design and Development, including System Integration.

* Lead and participate in activities requiring cross functional collaboration.

To succeed you will hold a degree or further degree (or equivalent) in a life science such as molecular biology, biochemistry or genetics with 5+ years of relevant industry experience. Supervisory or line management experience would be preferred, however you must have a molecular diagnostic background and experience of working to ISO 13485 standard.
