Production Operative

We require production operatives to work permanent afternoons 2pm-10pm in the finishing area of our clients production facility

The finishing area involves using craft knives and scissors to finish plastic products which have gone through a process of being coated with either a foils / wood grain sheeting. Each product is produced in volume so candidates will be using the craft knives to carefully finish to edges to a quality standard in a fast paced manor.

This is a very dexterous job and will need a large amount of attention to detail.

Candidates in this area MUST show the following attributes:

· Previous experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment

· Previous experience using craft knives preferred but not essential

· Working within a labour intensive dexterous position

· Ability to prove attention to detail

· Experience with quality checking

· Must be numerate and literate as you will need to follow production paperwork

· Must be flexible towards working environment

Previous trimming experience would be an advantage. Previous experience using craft knives on a day to day basis would also be an advantage.

Candidates MUST pass a numeracy and literacy test and dexterity test prior to an offer being made
