Production Operative

Production Operative: We have a new opportunity for a Production Operative to join our client’s dairy manufacturing site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

Purpose of Job
* To manufacture milk and milk fractions to meet the production schedule supplying internal and external customers
* To meet Company and Statutory Health and Safety requirements
* To be responsible for plant and environmental cleaning to meet standards
* To work with the Team Manager in continuous improvement activities.

For this role of Production Operative, you will:
* Undertake all tasks within the department to separate, pasteurise, despatch and CIP as per the production schedule
* Carry out on line quality testing to ensure product meets the required specification
* CIP the plant and carry out environmental cleaning in accordance with laid down procedures
* Learn other production roles within the Severnside site to enable cross skilling to take place
* Be capable of manual handling and climbing ladders when required.

The Hours
For this role of Production Operative you will be working 12 hour shifts 4 days on / 4 days off on a day / day – night / night pattern. Please only apply if you are able to work these hours.

Knowledge & Experience Required
For this role of Production Operative full product and procedure training will be provided.

It is essential that you have the following skills:

* A good level of literacy and numeracy skills
* Be IT literate – Word, Excel, email.
* Ability to embrace and implement change.
* To be open minded to new initiatives and be able to drive these forward.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the team and other interdependent departments.
* To be able to meet the physical demands of the role and complete operational logs to the required standard.

In return for your hard work as a Production Operative you will receive a good basic salary of up to £28,080per annum, depending on experience.
