Production Manager

Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year

Based on the South Coast our client is a highly innovative producer of high quality berries for the major multiples. The business is committed to continuous improvement and professional development, to this end our client is now seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their glasshouse team to lead a team of talented people to ensure that the all products are produced efficiently and safely, to be responsible for planning and organization of harvest & husbandry operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Harvest team day to day management and conduct.
• Control of fruit pickers to pick crops efficiently
• To drive productivity through motivation; target setting; good organisation; to keep pickers informed of progress relative to target and each picker performance
• Packaging control on the field.
• Picking equipment control on the field: buckets, trolleys.
• Health and Safety of Harvest & Husbandry Operation.
• Completion of all harvest & husbandry administration.
• Piece rate calculator completion and piece rate setting
