Production Shift Manager

We are recruiting for a Production Shift Manager to work for a large food manufacturing business based in the Midlands. As Production Shift Manager you will be challenged with ensuring production targets are met and quality standards are at their highest; you will also be expected to drive efficiencies upwards through engaging your team in LEAN manufacturing techniques.

You will be a high performing Production Manager / Production Shift Manager from within either a FMCG or Food Manufacturing environment. Within this challenging role you will have a level of autonomy and an opportunity to make a significant difference to the continued success of this organisation. Other key accountabilities will be to coach and mentor your team to ensure genuine succession planning.

You will be setting and working to KPI’s that will cover Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Morale. A forward thinking individual with a sound understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques such as OEE, 5S SMED, TPM, PPM – we are seeking people who can clearly and confidently outline what they delivered but more importantly how they delivered it.

Coming from within a FMCG or food manufacturing environment, the ideal candidate will be of a ‘can do attitude’ who is able to communicate effectively at all levels. You will be an ambitious person who enjoys taking on challenges and responsibilities and wanting to play a key part in a strong, dynamic management team. You will be a driven individual with a genuine desire to get to a position of senior management.
