Production Manager

Salary: £54,000 – £57,600 per year

Production Manager, Kettering, 8.30am – 5pm (5 days in 7), £45K – £48Kpa doe.

Our client is a phenomenally successful production company who on top of years of success, continue to grow and have ambitious plans for increased business over the next 3 years and beyond.

Due to further growth, they are looking to appoint a Packing Production Manager.

Reporting to the Regional General Manager the Packing Production manager will be responsible for managing the production packing operation to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities of the Packing Production Manager

To effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis

• To effectively motivate a team of people to meet production targets
• Ensure the final product meets client specifications
• To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate
• To ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external
• To ensure GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to
• Assist in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers
• To attend Line Leader meetings, and relevant training courses, as and when required
• To assist in the identification and development of Line Leaders to promote success planning
• To assist in the training and development of new starters
• Monitor, control and minimise waste
• Play an active part in continuous improvement
• To conduct disciplinary investigations in accordance with company procedure
• Liaise with customers and clients as and when required

Experience required for the role of Packing Production Manager

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Packing Manager or a Manager such as warehouse and operations that has managed packing as part of their operation. The role would also suit a Production Shift Manager looking to move up to a site management role.

This role would suit someone ambitious as the company is on an incredible journey of growth and would suit someone who has a keen eye for improvements and a good grasp of exceeding KPIs and reaching targets.
