Shift Production Manager

Salary: £40,800 – £43,200 per year

Shift Production manager, Kettering, 6am – 2pm / 2pm – 10pm 5 days in 7, £34K – £36K

Our client is a phenomenally successful production company who on top of years of success, continue to grow and have ambitious plans for increased business over the next 3 years and beyond.

Due to further growth, they are looking to appoint a Production Controller/Shift Production manager.

Reporting to the Production Manager the Shift Production Manager will be responsible for managing production lines and labour to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with QA and safety standards

Responsibilities of the Shift Production Manager

• To effectively motivate a team of people to meet production targets
• Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI)
• To effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis.
• Effectively use the onsite IT and Warehouse Management Systems
• To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate
• Assist in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers
• To attend Line leader meetings, and relevant training courses, as and when required
• To assist in the identification and development of Line Leaders to promote success planning
• To assist in the training and development of new starters
• Monitor, control and minimise waste
• Play an active part in continuous improvement
• To conduct disciplinary investigations in accordance with company procedure
• Cover for the Area Manager in his/her absence

Experience required for the role of Shift Production Manager

We are looking for a Production Controller / Shift Production Manager who has experience of production management or manufacturing management, a Production Supervisor or Production team Leader who is looking for a step up or someone working as a Shift Production Manager or Production manager looking to work within a progressive organisation.

This role would suit someone ambitious as the company is on an incredible journey of growth and would suit someone who has a keen eye for improvements and a good grasp of exceeding KPIs and reaching targets.
