Salary: £42,000 per year

For the successful Product Manager our client is offering:

1. Salary: £42,000per annum

The Role – Product Manager:

1. Formulate and execute strategies to meet and exceed growth targets of the business segment
2. Responsible for the life-cycle of products in the business segment from concept through to obsolescence.
3. Support the business with a comprehensive knowledge of the segment including; market share, competitors, large customers & commercial opportunities
4. Manage all aspects of the product life cycle – Responsible for implementing pricing, competitive positioning, value proposition, promotion, product roadmaps and forecasting
5. Provide strategy and direction for the business segment, identifying product roadmap requirements and managing business plans for both new and existing products
6. Work as primary contact with suppliers/partners for technical, financial and logistical requirements
7. Plan and execute launch campaigns for new product introductions
8. Interact with key customers and distributors to understand problems, obtain feedback and identify solutions
9. Represent the business at scientific events and conferences

What our client is looking for in a Product Manager:

1. Scientific Degree (BSc or Equivalent) ESSENTIAL
2. Business Studies qualification or MBA equivalent BENEFICIAL
3. Previous experience in a similar product manager position
4. Proven sales, marketing, and product management experience ESSENTIAL
5. Experience within the laboratory industry (in particular for the use of sample preparation equipment and associated consumables)
6. Demonstrated high technical capability
7. Experience of B2B sales within a manufacturing/ engineering/ scientific sector
8. Excellent communicator written & verbal communication
9. Full UK driving licence, and a willingness to travel to client sites
10. Ability to plan and organise own diary
