The Client & Role | Who Are They?

Bored designing the same thing over and over. Not getting to the see your designs go into manufacture because of endless design reviews and bureaucracy? Or just fancy expanding your knowledge base with products that will take you into new disciplines? This could be the role for you.

This business designs and manufacture product for the built environment so aesthetics are as important as the function. This role will require you design beautiful products, that can be manufactured cost effectively that perform its function to the highest of standards, both in application and quality. The products are made using a range of materials and manufacturing processes, metals and polymers, that are machined, fabricated and injection moulded, with a range of electrical and electronic schematics and components.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for motivated Product Design Engineers to take the products from ideation to manufacture. You should have:

• Experience of sketch through to detailed design.
• Experience of designing using various materials and production processes.
• Experience in fast paced environment where technology is changing quickly.
• Ideally some electrical/electronic experience, or a desire to add this to your skill base.

This role is within an SME business so you must be prepared to get stuck in and help out where needed, but in return you can expect a good degree of autonomy over your work, an environment that recognises performance and a lack of red tape that will see your products move into production quickly.
