Procurement Engineer

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Engineer to join a highly respected company withn the Utilities industry.

The business undertake various projects within the Water sector and have grown significantly over the last 18 months.

They are now looking for a procurement engineer to join the team on a permanet basis.

On offer is a salary of £42,000 – £48,000plus company various company benefits.

Key duties:

• Analyse and compare all suppliers / subcontractors in order to select the most suitable, who are able to deliver high quality products / services at competitive prices.
• Negotiate with suppliers / subcontractors on terms and conditions, delivery times, prices and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company and ensure adherence to the company policies and procedures.
• Develop purchasing and sourcing strategies.
• Liaise with project teams to ensure supplier / subcontractor selection processes encompass the technical requirements expected of the project.
• Review and manage the supplier / subcontractor base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy and perform regular performance reviews of suppliers / subcontractors to ensure compliance with the company’s needs.
• Manage the supplier / subcontractor payment process and produce accurate and timely payment certificates.

Ideally looking for someone who has experience or a good understanding of the Water industry.
