An innovative company based in Liverpool who specialise in the manufacture of pharmacopoeia grade products is looking to add an experienced pharmaceutical Process Engineer to the team. Responsible for the design, operation, control and optimisation of production processes, the ideal candidate will be extremely experienced within the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on process improvement.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a mechanical engineering or related field. You will be extremely confident in suggesting improvements to current processes with a view to increase capacity or efficiency as well as monitoring improvements according to business KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a sound and thorough understanding of the engineering and process fundamentals for the production equipment
• Focus on delivery of process and product understanding supporting the company wide objectives of cost effective processes
• Optimise the equipment/product/process and system interactions to improve performance against business driven targets
• Support external and internal audits/inspections as required
• Provide Process Engineering advice and expertise to internal and external customers
• Monitor and review process data to ensure processes operate as designed and to implement improvements
• Maintain an awareness of cGMP and other appropriate quality standards within the Pharmaceutical industry
• Ensure that best practice is applied to process engineering designs

Key Skills:
• Degree in Mechanical/Process Engineering or related field
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
• Proven successful industry experience in a highly regulated cGMP engineering and production environment such as a Pharmaceuticals/Biopharmaceuticals/Food
• Able to provide real life examples of process improvements in previous positions
