Process Engineer

PROCESS ENGINEER – HERTFORDSHIRE c£40,000 – £60,000

A global pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation is looking for a Process Engineer at their plant in the Hertfordshire area on a permanent basis.

Reporting to Head of Process Engineering the core function of the role is to lead and provide technical expertise on all aspects of process engineering in a pharmaceutical GMP environment. Provide expertise in process engineering, process improvement projects and troubleshooting of existing processes and equipment. In addition to this candidates will provide process safety support / expertise (HAZOP, ATEX etc) ensuring all processes and changes that are implemented results in a safe process.

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to hold a Degree or equivalent in Process / Chemical Engineering. Candidates will also need to have proven experience working within a pharmaceutical / biotech / aseptic / sterile manufacturing environment and possess excellent understanding of cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).

In addition to this candidates need to have knowledge of GAMP, 21 CFR 11 and working knowledge with control systems i.e. (PLC, SCADA, Loop controllers), specification, programming and optimization.

The role for a Process Engineer may be suitable for candidates who have held positions such as Chemical Engineer, Chemical Process Engineer, Process Lead, Senior Process Engineer or Lead Process Engineer, Process Manager.

The Process Engineer role is based in Hertfordshire and is commutable from Essex, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, London and other areas across the South East of England.
