Principal Scientist – Oncology

We have an exciting biotech company (based in the North West) who is looking to onboard an exceptional and highly experienced leader in project and strategic leadership for the discovery and delivery of novel pharmaceuticals.

With your significant experience of oncology and demonstrable in vitro lab skills you will provide expert opinions on all aspects of research relevant to drug discovery in the areas of Oncology and/or Immuno-oncology. Your project leadership skills will come into their own when you work on a number of drug discovery projects to ensure delivery of project milestones in accordance with the development plan. You will also identify and evaluate new areas of research or potential drug discovery targets to expand the scope of the company’s research portfolio.

To succeed you will have a PhD in a biological science eg. pharmacology/biochemistry and a minimum of 5 years industry experience within biotech/pharma industry OR more than 10 years’ industry experience.

You will also possess experience of successful design and execution of pre-clinical in vivo oncology models and/or in vitro compound screening cascades.
